04: What is not yet part 2

Summary

This week we continue our conversation with my friend and sometimes spiritual director Makeda Pennycooke. Check out her work at makedapennycooke.com. This week is part 2 of the conversation where we debrief her spiritual journey and explore what larger lessons we might use for our own lives. As a consultant she holds the space between what was and what is not yet.

Homework:

Where have you felt an unsettling? The goal is simply to name it, you don’t have to do anything with it. Utilize creative tools to explore what that unsettling feels like and it might help you get to the root of naming your unsettled experience.

If you want to explore your next steps after naming your unsettling, you can connect with Makeda or email Tamara Plummer  tamara@pursuingcall.com. You can also read more about my many unsettling experience at pursuingcall.com

Share voice messages and we just might play them. WARNING: I do say the word shit without realizing it, if you think that is explicit, just wanted you to know.

02: Gluten free biscuits

Summary

There was so much to talk about with Chris Gandsy, owner and operator of Daleview Biscuits & Beer that I left half of our conversation on the virtual cutting room floor. As a regular patron to Chris’ coffee shop, beer garden, fried chicken spot, I wanted to know more about the man that created a business that feels a lot like home.

Journal prompt this week: What do you need to do to stay center and not distracted by all the noise?

Don’t forget to send your answers, questions or comments to tamara@pursuingcall.com.

01: Buy the ticket and go

Summary

This week’s episode is an interview with my homie Wendy. She talks about not having a plan, listening to the spirit and being guided by inner strength to step out of confining boxes, break expectations and ask for help. Fair warning: there are a couple of cuss words, but there is nothing explicit in our conversation

Homework for this week:

Sit for 5-10 minutes and imagine your perfect tomorrow.

Spend 5-10 minutes journaling about what came up for you.

If you want help walking through what you wrote and planning out what it would take to make it a reality, let’s chat. Send in your reflection to tamara@pursuingcall.com. I would love to read what has come for you and provide some prompts for you to take the next best step.
